John Fedchock NY Sextet video for the folks in Manaus. Recently the band had a tour to Manaus, Brazil canceled due to the global pandemic we are all dealing with. Check out this video of the band playing the song MANAUS remotely.
I also came across this video from the John Fedchock NY Big Band playing Epistrophy at the New Trier HS Jazz Festival. Memories of the rotary valve flugelhorn I used to play.

Volume 3 of A Modern Approach To Improvisation is out. It is by Eric Siereveld and Craig Tweddell. They did an excellent job of transcribing and analyzing 42 of my solos. It's amazing for me to see them in print! Visit this page for an example video.
